An Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School student has tested positive for COVID-19.

The ADM School District announced they were notified of the positive case Thursday. Nine other students were determined to be in close contact with the individual and will also have to quarantine for 14 days. This is the ninth positive case reported by the District, including eight students and one non-teaching staff member. Another 39 individuals have also had to quarantine since the beginning of the school year.

The District will not be making health recommendations related to quarantine but confirmed those who tested positive, and those identified through contact tracing will not be allowed to attend school or participate in school functions until they are cleared. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
