The Wildcats of West Central Valley knew they were in for a tough first test for district play when they took on Kuemper Catholic on Friday Night, and unfortunately the Knights were too much to handle, as they were able to cruise in the game 47-0.

The first half would be the defining half, as the Knights were able to get nearly 300 total yards in the first half while the Wildcats were only able to tally up a couple of first downs. Kuemper Catholic was able to put up three different scores in the first quarter of play, and didn’t look back as the Wildcats couldn’t contain a very good offense.

West Central Valley was coming off of their first win of the season last week over Eagle Grove, but the Knights were simply too much in this first district matchup.

Unfortunately things do not get easier for the Wildcats, as WCV will go to one of the best teams in class one next week in Van Meter, as they hope to find a way to be competitive with the Bulldogs.
