The City of Adel has lifted its water warning.

The City issued the warning August 21st following 24 hours when there were 813,000 gallons of water used, the third-highest on record. City officials announced Monday enough progress had been made by residents to reduce water use to rescind the warning. As of September 10th, the water usage rate decreased significantly to an average of 400,000 gallons a day. A water watch remains in effect until further notice. Even-numbered houses can only water lawns on even-numbered days only, and odd-numbered houses on odd-numbered days only.
