A Bayard woman was recently arrested for probation violation and new felony charges.

According to the criminal complaint, on September 16th the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist a landlord in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue in Bayard about people who were squatting in the apartment building. Thirty-year-old Gabriella Renee Madison later arrived at the residence and admitted to having personal property in the apartment and she turned over an apartment key. Law enforcement then entered the apartment, clearing people and observing drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search warrant was then issued and an eyeglass case containing methamphetamine, a meth pipe with residue, a partially smoked marijuana joint, and a marijuana pipe with residue were found.

Madison was arrested this week by the Perry Police Department on warrants for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony; and probation revocation for a drug conviction for which Madison was sentenced this past July in Guthrie County. She was transported to the Guthrie County Jail with bond set at $5,000 cash or surety. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
