The 5-0 Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs will look to extend their perfect record another week with a regular season finale on the road at Winterset tonight.  DC-G holds the #1 ranking in Class 3A in Iowa, and the Mustangs are a heavy favorite to make a Final Four appearance at the UNIDome in Cedar Falls in November.

The goal of making it perfect through the regular season will not be easy however, as Winterset is 5-1 on the year.  The one loss coming in the season opener to Van Meter.

DC-G has played a couple of barn burners the past two games, as the Mustangs trailed Norwalk in the 3rd quarter before eventually closing out the win, and trailing ADM with under 1 minute to play before Freshman Kicker, Ben Jackson struck through the go-ahead 25 yard field goal to secure the DC-G win, 16-14.

The Mustangs will be playing the remainder of the season without starting Quarterback, Ty Walker who suffered an ACL tear.  Junior, Huston Halverson has started in Walker’s absence the past two games.

DC-G and Winterset will kickoff tonight at 7:00pm.
