Heads up for Paton-Churdan students and parents: school will dismiss early Tuesday for some students due to an emergency water shut-off.

P-C Superintendent Kreg Lensch tells Raccoon Valley Radio the City notified the school district that their water supply will be shut-off for several hours starting this morning, due to needed repairs. Because of this, the District will be dismissing pre-kindergarten through 8th grade at 11:45am. Lunch will be served to the students before dismissal.

As for high school students, Lensch says they will have school as normal, due to most of the rest of their classes being at Greene County High School. However, he adds, the last P-C periods will need to happen electronically via Zoom or Google Classroom at the end of the school day. P-C Principal Annie Smith tells Raccoon Valley Radio the water is expected to be turned back on by the end of the day, with school to resume tomorrow.
