Wednesday, October 14th

7:59am: Edward Jones reported the smell of smoke from a neighboring building inside 110 South Wilson Ave. The officer determined it was coming from 112 South Wilson Ave. and spoke to the resident. The City Code Enforcement Officer will follow up to determine if any ordinances or codes are being violated.

11:55am: Tiffany Johnson reported a Stray Dog running freely in the 1200 Block of Rushridge. The animal’s owner arrived and took the animal before the officer’s arrival.

12:48pm: Billie Hovick reported an Abandoned Bicycle at 102 East Washington Street. The officer placed the bike in the Impound Lot.

8:40pm:, Erin Bellcock reported a Violation of a Protective Order. She was working at 100 Ram Drive and began receiving calls and text messages from an unknown number. The officer had her answer the call on speaker phone and she advised it was her estranged boyfriend, who is the party prohibited from contacting her. The officer has requested an Arrest Warrant for Dylan Lee Pedersen, 28 of Lake City for, “Violation of Protective Order – Simple.”

10:13pm: While on patrol, an officer heard an Audible Alarm sounding at the GC Middle School. The officer found the building to be secure and contacted a key holder to reset the alarm.
