COVID-19 has prevented Main Street Guthrie Center from holding their annual harvest dinner event, so instead they’ve partnered with a local restaurant for a new kind of fundraiser.

The non-profit organization is taking orders for frozen pizzas from Zipp’s Pizzaria in Adair to raise funds for their operating budget. Main Street Guthrie Center Director Dana Buster says residents can submit their order on Main Street’s website, with several different toppings and crust options, “So ordering is going on from now until October 31st and we’ve had a good first week of sales. So we’re looking forward to the next couple weeks of this fundraiser and hopefully if it’s successful we’ll be able to do it in the future because I know everyone around here loves Zipp’s pizza, and everyone that I’ve talked to has been really excited about it. So we are hoping to make this maybe an annual thing that we can do.”

During the first part of November customers will be contacted and Buster says the pizzas will be hand delivered to their front door. Buster thanks Zipp’s Pizzaria for their partnership in this fundraiser and residents for their support.
