The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved secondary roads contracts during Tuesday’s meeting.
The contracts are for a bridge replacement and weirs project in conjunction with the Hungry Canyons Alliance on Grant Avenue in Seely Township. Last month the Supervisors awarded the projects to Murphy Heavy Contracting who submitted the lowest bids of $199,359 for the bridge and $242,893 for the weirs. Sebern says the late start date for the project is set for the end of 2021, though the contractor could possibly start as soon as this winter. The Board also approved appointing Tim Masters as the County Weed Commissioner, as required by the state. The Supervisors had previously approved a payroll change notice for Masters, but Sebern said Masters had to get a spray license before being appointed for the state. Sebern also informed the Supervisors that County road crews should be completing the Sage Trail project near Lake Panorama this week.
