The AC/GC football team is looking to pull off the upset against #2 Van Meter.

Van Meter comes in 7-0, fresh off a first-round bye last week. AC/GC earned another game Friday with a 56-38 win over Pleasantville just a week ago. Last week Reid Rumelhart was the Charger’s leading back with 135 yards on 19 carries and two scores. Sophomore quarterback Brock Littler was right behind him with 134 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.

When these two teams met earlier this season, AC/GC was without four players including three starters due to COVID-19 quarantines. Van Meter would go on to win 46-12 but the Chargers found the recipe if they’re going to pull off the upset. In the week five matchup, AC/GC had a nine-minute long 80-yard touchdown drive. Coach Cody Mathewson says they’re going to have to have several of those tonight to keep this explosive Bulldog offense off the field.

You’ll be able to listen to the game on K107.9 FM with pre-game coverage starting at 6 p.m. and kickoff at 7.
