West Central Valley Cross Country will be competing in their district race today when they make the short drive to Panora after their district race was postponed yesterday due to weather. The Wildcats will be hoping to send some runners to the state race in Fort Dodge, but know that the competition will be stiff today.

The West Central Activities Conference has traditionally been tough and been able to create some difficult competition, so the Wildcats will be hoping that the results from those races will toughen them up for the race today. Fans should be keeping an eye on freshman girls runner Taitlin Koch, who finished 10th in the conference race last week.

Weather will be around the 30s and maybe 40s today, with the key being that their isn’t too much rain on the ground so that the runners will have the opportunity to race. The race will be happening at the Panorama Par 3 golf course, with the times moved up to due to weather today. The high school girls will begin their race around 1:30, with the boys to follow approximately forty minutes later with a 2:10 start.
