One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a two-vehicle wreck in Perry Monday morning.

According to the Perry Police Department, just after 8 a.m. Monday a black Honda SUV driven by Viviana Escalarte-Tobar failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of First Street and Otley Avenue in Perry and struck a white Mazda driven by Joel Sigueras. Perry Police and Fire departments, and Dallas County EMS responded to the scene. One person was taken to Dallas County Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. Escalarte-Tobar was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. Perry Police do not consider road conditions a factor in the incident.
