Democratic Senate candidate Theresa Greenfield visited Guthrie County for a second time this month with a couple stops Saturday.

Greenfield started the day at Waukee Hardware and Rent-It Center, followed by a farm tour in Guthrie Center and a tour of Early Morning Harvest in Panora. Owners Jeff and Shannon Hafner showed Greenfield around the aquaponic produce farm, grain mill, and store which Jeff shared has grown in production this year as the number of online flour and other orders has about tripled since the start of the pandemic. Greenfield tells Raccoon Valley Radio she is passionate about visiting small businesses and farms, especially generational ones like Early Morning Harvest, “And of course I’m always asking people what’s that one thing I can roll up my sleeves and get to work on. And as you heard from Jeff today, maybe you didn’t, but it was healthcare. Over and over and over again, healthcare is that issue for a lot of different reasons. He spoke a lot today about access to healthcare but timing, wait times. And I hear that often from veterans, wait times.”

Earlier this month Greenfield took a tour of Landus Cooperative in Yale. She is running against Republican incumbent Joni Ernst in the November 3rd election.
