A mobile home at Diamondhead Lake is considered a total loss after a fire occurred Friday night.

According to Stuart Fire Chief Josh Renslow, at about 10:20 p.m. the department was called to respond to a structure fire on Why Not Court on the southwest corner of Diamondhead Lake. The occupants of the home safely escaped, and no injuries were reported. Cause of the fire is unknown, and firefighters were on scene for about three hours putting out the blaze. The Dexter, Redfield, and Menlo fire departments, and Stuart Rescue also assisted at the scene.
