A homeless man was arrested and charged with felonies for drug possession in Greene County.

According to court documents, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a suspicious person near the school bus pick-up location by the Scranton Community Center at 7:02am Tuesday. A witness told the responding deputy that she saw a male walking nearby the bus stop and allegedly saw him try to enter a vehicle at a nearby private property that wasn’t his. The deputy contacted the property owner and he wanted to pursue charges.

The deputy found the suspect, 38-year-old Andrew Jensen, who wasn’t being compliant and gave the deputy a false name. The deputy then arrested Jensen and transported him to the Greene County Jail. While Jensen was being booked into jail, the jailer found a baggie with a white substance in it. The preliminary test results were positive for methamphetamine. Jensen has been charged with two Class D Felonies for his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance and possession of contraband in a correctional institution, as well as two serious misdemeanors for fifth-degree theft and third-degree attempted burglary of a vehicle, and two simple misdemeanors for trespassing and interference with official acts.
