The Greene County 4-H Program is gearing up for its new year, and the time period to re-enroll is happening now.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms tells Raccoon Valley Radio that if you are a current 4-H’er, you need to re-enroll by December 1st. She says typically the deadline is November 15th, but due to a statewide reconfiguration of the online enrollment process, the deadline was pushed back to December 1st. Willms explains what 4-H’ers need to do.

“So what needs to be done by December 1st is to complete your online enrollment, and then stop in here to the Extension Office (in Jefferson) and pay your $15 per member to join. If you want to mail us a check, that is totally fine too, whatever works best in your schedule. But make sure we get that in by December 1st.”

Willms notes that if anyone re-enrolls after December 1st, there will be a $25 per family late fee. The re-enrollment fee has been reduced, due to several local sponsors, including Greene County Environmental Habitat Corporation, Heartland Cooperative of Rippey, Hawn Family Farms of Scranton and Greene County Corn Growers Association.
