The Council also set public hearing dates to approve the new city comprehensive plan and to apply for a Community Development Block Grant for its water system improvements project for their December meeting. Next, they approved the first partial pay estimate of about $31,564 to Hydro-Klean, LLC for the 2020 sanitary sewer system improvements project, and approved a site plan for an addition at Kinzie Tire located at 604 South Division Street following the Planning and Zoning Commission’s approval. They also adopted the snow removal ordinance upon first and second reading and waived the third. The ordinance now requires that from November 1st to April 1st no vehicles of any kind shall be parked on any public street, alley or city owned off-street parking area from 2-6 a.m. Stuart Police Chief Dave Reha said repeat offenders will be towed.
