Friday, November 20th

12:10am: A Traffic Stop in the 1500 Block of 220th Street resulted in Jagar Vanderheiden of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

10:26am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 250 th Street resulted in Allyson Walker of Yale being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

1:43pm: An officer is working with an animal owner after finding the animal’s kennel was full of feces. The owner is working to clean out the kennel and the officer will be following up to ensure it was done.

2:46pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and 220th Street resulted in Steven Clark of Bondurant being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:00pm: A Traffic Stop at Central and Grimmell Road resulted in Glen Haverman of Carroll being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

4:22pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Scott Silipino of Des Moines being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

Saturday, November 21st

1:35am: A Traffic Stop at McKinley and Cedar Streets resulted in Brandon Mitchell of Jefferson being cited for, “Failure to Carry Registration Card.”

2:34am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on a vehicle in the 300 Block of North Oak, after witnessing the vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Larry Jon Hovick, 45 of Jefferson for, “OWI 2nd Offense – Aggravated.”

8:18am: A Traffic Stop at 237th and Kirkwood resulted in Abby Hoffman of Bagley being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

8:56am: Dalton Weber spoke with an officer in connection to a Civil Property Issue occurring at 206 North Elm Street.

10:48am: Lois Brant reported a small stray dog in the 800 Block of West South Street. The officer did not locate the animal.

10:50am: A Traffic Stop in the 1700 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Taylor Gierstorf of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:01am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1500 Block of 235th Street.

1:55pm: A Traffic Stop at Lincoln Way and State Streets resulted in Danery Figueroa of Pleasant Hill being cited for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, Operation without Registration, and No Valid DL.”

3:04pm: Kaleb Silbaugh reported a Stray Dog in the 300 Block of South Wilson Ave. The officer did not locate the reported animal.

6:38pm: A caller advised of a Barking Dog in the 300 Block of South Elm Street. The officer located the animal, but no one was home at the residence. The officer is working to speak to the animal’s owner to correct the issue.

9:50pm: Kathy Scheuermann reported a possible Fight in Progress occurring in the 100 Block of West Clark Street. The officer arrived and spoke to a male in the area, who advised a walking couple had been arguing, but left the area.

Sunday, November 22nd

12:05am: Security Staff requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer arrived and was told a male had been asked to leave the Gaming Floor after being denied purchasing more alcohol. The male had gone outside and was in a vehicle with a female. Staff was concerned for the female. The officer spoke to the female, who advised she did not want the male in her vehicle. The officer had the male get out of the vehicle and she was allowed to leave the area. The male waited outside until friends came out and took him home.

1:51am: A caller advised the animal was barking again in the 300 Block of South Elm Street. The officer issued Laryssa Bushman a Citation for, “Barking Dog – Annoyance.” Bushman was given a time period by the officer to become compliant with Animal Licensing.

7:46am: A Traffic Stop at South Elm and 250th Streets resulted in Nicole Happe of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

10:56am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 22oth Streets resulted in Danery Figueroa of Pleasant Hill being cited for, “No Valid DL.”

1:36pm: A Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of North Grimmell Road resulted in Alexander Engquist of Harcourt being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:05pm: Rich Burkhardt called and advised a subject was blowing leaves into the street while mowing at 400 East Washington Street. The officer spoke to the subject, who advised he would clean the debris from the street when he finished mowing.

3:20pm: A Traffic Stop at State and Locust Streets resulted in Kevin Ostrander of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

5:25pm: Jill Johnson reported an Open Business Door at 303 North Elm Street. The officer checked the building and found all to be fine. The door was secured.
