The winter sports season for Dallas Center – Grimes athletics has slowed down due to the holiday break, with none of these teams scheduled to have any contests against opposing schools until the new year. DCG will be looking to take advantage of this including a few days off from practice and getting some rest and relaxation. All of the teams as well will get the opportunity to work on things that they would like to see improve before their schedules come back, and believe that this is the perfect time to do that.

DCG boys basketball is currently 6-0 on the season and the number 1 team in 3A, the girls are ranked in 4A and currently 7-2, and the wrestling team has had some very good showings early in the season, and tallied up a few wins as well.

Players will hope that the new year will come with more success as well, but the Mustangs and Fillies teams have a lot to be proud of, and hope that they’re success so far this season will translate to the 2021 portion of their schedule as well.
