While the new year has started, hunting seasons in Iowa are beginning to wrap up. 

According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, the hunting seasons that will end on January 10th include pheasant, archery turkey, and late muzzleloader deer season. Also, the staggered goose season will begin closing in the north zone on January 9th, the south zone on January 16th. 

The season for quail, partridge, ruffed grouse, and squirrel ends on January 31st and rabbit season closes on February 28th. The furbearer hunting and trapping seasons close on January 31st but fur harvesters can continue trapping beavers until April 15th.
