One of the things that the West Central Valley Wildcats have been able to count on through their first stretch of games through the West Central Activities Conference has been that they are in a dogfight night in and out. The Wildcats are currently 3-6 on the season and 1-4 in conference play, taking on some tough opponents so far, and a schedule that isn’t expected to ease up either.

The top of the conference right now lines up with an undefeated talent in Des Moines Christian, followed by Panorama, Van Meter, and ACGC who all currently have four wins. There is a log jam in the middle of the conference with multiple teams with either two or three wins, and the Wildcats will have the opportunity to potentially join that group if they find a way to tally up a few more wins.

That will be easier said than done however, with the Wildcats to have a difficult schedule upcoming this week with a game at home against Van Meter on Tuesday, followed by a tough road game on Friday against their Guthrie County rival in the Panorama Panthers.
