When it comes to playing high school sports during a pandemic, there are challenges. Greene County is no exception as the Rams had eight varsity basketball dates scheduled in December. Four of those were postponed, with one already having been made up, and the other three scheduled to be made up later this month. Not ideal, but manageable so far.

The  next basketball opponent for the Rams is Webster City tomorrow night in the new high school gym in Jefferson. The Lynx have played even fewer games than the Rams with four by the girls and just two for the boys.

The Webster City girls are 0-4 with three of the losses by two or three points. Three other games have been cancelled or postponed. The Lynx have had four boys’ games cancelled or postponed. They are 1-1 with a three point win and a five point loss. Both WC teams are scheduled to play tonight at home vs. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond before traveling to Jefferson tomorrow.

Both Rams and Lynx games can be heard tomorrow night on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage starts around 5:40 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
