Winterset defeated Perry 62-24 Tuesday night in Madison County marking the return of high school basketball in the new year.  The Huskies exploded in the third quarter putting the game into a mercy rule clock with guard Jena Young connecting on all four of her three-point shots in the quarter.  The all state shortstop finished with a game high 24 points including 14 in the third quarter alone.  Winterset’s height gave Perry fits all night long.  The Huskies featured a pair of six footers and dominated the offensive glass.  Winterset also finished with 12 blocked shots.  Lydia Olejniczak led Perry with 11 points while Kennedy Tunick added 5.  Perry falls to 0-6 in the conference while Winterset improves to 5-3 overall.  Perry returns home Thursday night for a game with ADM.
