Dallas Center – Grimes boys basketball was able to get a nice win on Tuesday night against Pella Christian winning by the score of 71-40.

DCG was able to get some nice performances all around, but got a massive one out of star guard Luke Rankin who was able to set the record with 15 assists on the night. With the previous record being 12, Rankin was able to breeze past the accomplishment with excellent management of the guard position, and putting his teammates into great position throughout the night.

Some of the beneficiaries included Bo Huston with 15 and Cole Glasgow with 14, as Rankin was able to set up teammates well all night long, and players were able to knock down shots as well. Rankin has been one of the key players for the Mustangs throughout the season and one of the big reasons why they are currently the number one team in the state.

He will have to have a massive game tomorrow night with the number 3 team in 4A in the Pella Dutch the next opponent, in what is expected to be a great game between the two opponents.
