conar-hornsby

A Boone man faces a felony drug charge from a Grand Junction incident.

According to court documents, 24-year-old Conar Hornsby was charged with a Class D Felony for this third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance. The charge stems from a September 15th incident where a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy saw alleged suspicious behavior outside of a residence in the 400 block of 15th Street in Grand Junction. When the deputy was talking with the couple, he found out that Hornsby had an arrest warrant from Guthrie County for a probation violation.

Court documents show that as Hornsby was being arrested, he had two plastic baggies on his person with suspected drugs. Hornsby was then transported to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office for his arrest warrant. Test results from the Criminalistic Laboratory in November showed that one of the baggies tested positive for methamphetamine. Hornsby was then arrested on Friday and was booked and released under his own recognizance from the Greene County Jail.
