Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger wrestling was able to compete on Saturday down in Winterset at the Gary Christensen invite.

The Tigers were able to go 3-1 as a team over the weekend, putting together a solid performance against various schools, getting wins over Martensdale- St.Mary’s 48-24, Southeast Warren/ Melcher-Dallas 39-38, and Council Bluffs – Thomas Jefferson by the score of 66-18.

At 132, Ben Smith was able to have a terrific day for the Tigers as he was able to pick up four wins in his four matches, putting together competitive matches  during the day and being a huge factor for the Tigers. Jacob Smith at 106 was also able to put together a similar performance at 4-0 and really was able to control and get some solid victories throughout the day. At 170 Nathan Tapkin was able to pick up three wins on the day, and at 160 Nathan Royer was able to pick up a pair of wins as well.

Tiger wrestling will be continuing on their very busy month in January when they compete once again on Thursday when they head up to Perry to compete in a dual meet.
