The Perry School Board approved bus specs at their regular meeting Monday.

The Board approved bus specs that will allow for a bus bid to be approved at a meeting later this month. Also, the Board approved a junior class financial support request for prom in the amount of $500, the modified allowable growth and dropout prevention and at-risk application for $627,988.

Also, the Board approved rescinded board policies as it related the Families First Coronavirus Response Act that expired in December of 2020, COVID-related leave that allows staff to use sick leave for COVID-related absences and to use family sick, personal illness, personal days, and vacation for child care issues related to COVID.

Finally, the Board approved revisions of board policies, board policy updates, an early graduation request and the January Return to Learn Plan. Superintendent Clark Wicks gave an update on the number of students participating in online classes, which is currently 136, but that number is down from the 270 it was at one time and currently, there are 36 who are medically exempt.
