The Panorama School Board approved the high school wrestling team’s annual overnight trip request for the John J. Harns Invitational in Corning January 22nd and 23rd during its regular monthly meeting Monday.

The Board discussed and reviewed minor student handbook updates for the 2021-22 school year at both the elementary and high school levels. Superintendent Shawn Holloway presented the Board with the 2021-22 Master Calendar draft.

Holloway said the Board discussed the fiscal year Physical Plant Equipment Levy and the sales and service tax for school infrastructure projects.

“It’s what allows you to do your major upkeep, buy computer equipment, just the general upkeep of the physical buildings. Those funds are utilized and super important. That’s been an on-going conversation with us the last three to four months with the Board to make sure they’re comfortable with what’s on the list because for us, on a yearly basis, we’re looking at right around $1 million that’s utilized for different projects.”

Finally, the Board approved the District Audit report and ended the meeting by continuing masking guidelines in the District to be revisited at the February board meeting.
