The Greene County High School wrestling program is on pause the rest of this week due to COVID-19 concerns. Activities Director Todd Gordon sent word to Raccoon Valley Radio that the Rams would not be hosting the scheduled quadrangular scheduled for tonight with PCM, South Hamilton, and Pocahontas Area. In addition, the Rams will not be making the trip east on Saturday to the Solon tournament, and there will be no Ram JV tournament this Saturday. Head coach Zach Beekman told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rams are planning on resuming practice on Monday, Jan. 18.

A.D. Gordon added that at this time the Rams are still planning on hosting the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference tournament on Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. inside the new Greene County High School gym. He is also working on getting a home meet scheduled for Tues., Jan. 26. The Rams have not wrestled at home all season and the quad and the HOIAC tournament were the only times all season the wrestlers were to have been at home.

Raccoon Valley Radio will update as news becomes official.
