Blizzard conditions are impacting travel on the roads today. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, most of the roads in Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties range between partially to mostly covered with snow and blowing snow. Additionally, tow services are not advised in Dallas County. Be aware of plow crews on the road. Make sure to give them plenty of room to clear the roads of snow.

Most cities’ snow ordinances are now in effect as well. During a snow ordinance, parking is prohibited on residential streets, including Perry and Jefferson, until the roads are cleared from curb to curb and the snow stops falling. Check out our website for cancellation and postponement information, and the Raccoon Valley Radio Network to give you updated road condition reports as well.
