If you are looking for something to do since the coronavirus pandemic has made normal activities difficult or impossible, Dallas County museums can help you out.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, many places have either closed down completely or altered their services. Dallas County Conservation Board (DCCB) Outreach Coordinator Sarah Gilchrist says the county’s museums have remained open.

“The Forest Park Museum is open from 8 (a.m.) – 4:30 (p.m.) if you’re looking for an indoor option of things to do. That’s free and right now it looks a little different: things have had to be rearranged just for spacing of groups and things like that but that is still available.”

Gilchrist says the other museums are available for appointment, and you can find a list of those on the DCCB website here. Gilchrist adds that the cabins are still available for rent as well and reservations can be done online here.
