Thursday, January 14th

5:48am: Dick Whitver reported a Suspicious Male on a bike in the 700 Block of South Oak Street. The officers did not locate anyone in the area.

7:11am: Spencer Burley requested an officer at 400 West State Street for a Burglary Alarm activation on a basement door. The officer found the door to be secure.

7:16am: Chris Parkis reported Harassing Phone Calls from a Jefferson female. The officer spoke to the female, who produced threatening messages from Parkis to her. Both parties were advised by the officer to end contact with the other.

3:01pm: Aaron Schroeder reporting finding a backpack outside at 1900 North Wilson Ave. It appeared to have belonged to a young student. The officer brought the bag to the LEC.

7:14pm: Nellie Petterson requested an officer at 107 North Olive Street. She advised the officer she believed someone had been in her residence while she was away. The officer found no evidence of forced entry and nothing was reported to be missing.

8:34pm: Catie Smith spoke to an officer about a Civil Issue occurring with a vehicle at 606 Hwy. 30 East.

******** An officer has requested Arrest Warrants after completing an Assault Investigation reported on 01/13/2021. The warrants for Ryan Douglas Patterson, 40 of Jefferson are for, “Domestic Abuse Assault – Serious, Tampering with a Witness- Aggravated, Harassment 1 st Degree – Aggravated, and Violation of Protective Order – Contempt.”
