The Perry Library Board of Trustees discussed its reopening plan at its regular meeting Thursday.

The Board ultimately decided to table the decision to fully reopen to February’s meeting, but continue to operate as it has in the past with curbside and the other limited services.

Library Director Mary Murphy says the data for COVID-19 infections picked up in recent weeks for Perry residents and it was mentioned that if a library staff member were to become infected with COVID-19, the library would have to completely shut down for two weeks.

Also, the Board discussed the recent completion of the renovation of the library. The Board did not discuss the Perry Library Budget for the City of Perry.
