Road crews in Dallas County have been out clearing roads since early this morning.

Perry Public Works Director Josh Wuebker says crews have been out since 4 a.m. applying salt and plowing the roads. He notes that crews will likely be out most of the day and possibly back out tomorrow morning.

Dallas County Engineer Al Miller says secondary roads have been out since 5 a.m. and motor grader crews have been out since 6 a.m. All paved routes have been cleared at least once. He adds that crews will be out all day and possibly tomorrow, with motor graders to be on the gravel roads tomorrow as well.

The National Weather Service says Dallas County is now under a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. today.
