The coronavirus pandemic and the winter season has forced people to spend more time indoors rather than doing their normal favorite activities, which can give people cabin fever, but physical activity can help with that.

Clint Lutterman with 21st Century Rehab says a lot of ailments people have been experiencing as the pandemic has dragged on, could be helped with a little physical activity.

“Some of the things that people don’t think about, depression, anxiety. Those things that people are dealing with right now with all of this pandemic stuff going on, you know any sort of exercise can help with that.”

Lutterman says there are plenty of other ailments physical activity can help with and people should be getting at least 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise at least three-to-five days a week.

“If people aren’t getting those things in that’s when you start to see that just general deconditioning, you start to see people get overweight, you get out of shape you have more pain you have more difficulty doing things.”

Lutterman notes without the standard physical activity it can lead to injuries when people try to complete tasks like remodeling your home.
