Dallas Center – Grimes wrestling competed up in Marshalltown over the weekend with state qualifications on the line. They were able to find some great success sending three to Des Moines with Luke Stover at 106, Jacob Fistler at 126, and Drew Clausen at 195.

Stover was able to get a first place finish in his victory in a championship match over Payton Bright of Ankeny Centennial in a 6-0 decision. Fistler at 126 was able to have a great day, winning first place as well dominating competition and winning via a 15-2 major decision over Jack Lewis of Southeast Polk to move to 43-3 on the season. After losing the championship match, Clausen was able to pick up a win in a 2nd place wrestleback over Gannon Williams of Marshalltown in a 7-3 decision.
