With Governor Kim Reynolds relaxing mask mandates and social distancing guidelines, many can be confused about what they should do moving forward.

Dallas County Health Department Public Information Officer Ann Cochran says they are still encouraging people to be cautious and follow social distancing even after the guidelines in the emergency public health proclamation have been relaxed.

“Avoid crowds or situations that put you at risk of infection. Especially if you have underlying health conditions and most importantly please if you are sick stay home. Even if you think oh I can gut it out and I’m alright I can go to work. Nobody wants you showing up to work sick so please, please protect other people by staying home.”

Cochran says the best way to prevent any illness is to not get exposed and tells people to keep that in mind even when social distancing guidelines have been relaxed.
