The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center National Honor Society presented a check Wednesday of over $4,000 to Tori’s Angels from its spaghetti dinner fundraiser earlier this month.

Senior Ali McDermott says they were blessed to be able to “be the good” and provide the donation. She thanked the community for their support and The Lakeside Village in Panora for a donation of supplies from the fundraiser.

The proceeds were donated in honor of Panorama High School’s Liberty Ashworth who was diagnosed with Stage IV Adenocarcinoma Colorectal Cancer. Tori’s Angels is supporting all of Ashworth’s medical expenses not covered by insurance, including travel expenses to treatment for her family, co-pays, deductibles and prescription medicine until her 19th birthday.
