Dallas Center – Grimes boys basketball began their road to state on Monday night over the Perry Bluejays in Grimes, picking up an easy win in a 85-12 victory. The Mustangs didn’t mess around building a quick 38-7 lead after one quarter of play and never looking back. Perry ends their season at 0-19 while DCG improves to to 18-3.

The Mustangs were able to shoot 58% from the field, and had four different players in double scoring figures lead by Cole Glasgow’s 16 points. Twelve different players on the roster were able to reach the scoring column as the Mustangs were able to get into playoff mode and get a healthy start to their run.

The Mustangs will have a semifinal home game on Thursday night against Adel-Desoto-Minburn, as the Tigers and Mustangs renew their rivalry with the chance to play in the substate final.
