Van Wall in Perry and Des Moines Area Community College have launched a new program. 

The power equipment technician program will be located on the DMACC Boone Campus with most of the technical training taking place on Van Wall’s CITECenter Training Facility. When students successfully complete the program they will receive an associate’s degree of Applied Science.

This program will teach students how to be technically competent in areas including, electric, hydraulics, powertrains on gasoline and diesel equipment including residential, powersports as well as residential and light construction equipment. 

A focal point of the program will be hands-on in classroom training and work-based training in dealerships and services facilities in central Iowa. Van Wall will be providing full tuition scholarships for students who are accepted into the program.
