Despite some needed rainfall this past week, there was little impact in drought conditions for portions of the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.

According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor, a majority of Greene County continues to be abnormally dry, with the southeastern corner under no drought. A little more than the western half of Guthrie County is also abnormally dry, while the rest of the county is not under a drought. Dallas County continues to be drought free.

According to the National Weather Service, Jefferson saw 1.84 inches of rain, Perry reported 1.27 inches, and Guthrie Center had 1.08 inches and rainfall.
