Unemployment saw a slight increase in two areas of the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County saw a 0.3-percent increase in unemployment from January up to 3.4-percent. Guthrie County saw a 0.2-percent increase in unemployment from January up to 5.1-percent. Dallas County saw a decrease of 0.1-percent in unemployment down to 3-percent. 

Iowa’s unemployment stayed steady at 3.6-percent for February and the national unemployment rate dropped down 0.1-percent to 6.2-percent.
