The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is still looking for campground hosts for the 2021 season.

Springbrook State Park in Guthrie Center is in need of someone who enjoys the outdoors, camping and meeting new people to volunteer to do a variety of things at the park. The volunteer would be provided a campground in the park while actively hosting, and live there for one to five months to assist DNR staff.

The duties would include light maintenance, checking in campers and being a resource for people visiting the park. Hosts would volunteer 20-40 hours a week including weekends and holidays while living on-site in their own camper.

To discuss a host position you should contact the park directly at 641-747-3591.
