Dallas Center – Grimes track and field boys and girls are continuing to stay busy, as both teams have been able to put up some decent numbers so far on this young season. Both of the teams competed in the Mustang Invite last Saturday in Grimes, and were able to put up big numbers and respectable finishes with the Mustang boys finishing 5th and the girls finishing in 4th place.

Kaleigh Lachacz has been able to do some great work thus far in both the shot put and the discus as well on the girls side, usually being a top point getter for the Mustang team. On the relay side, the DCG girls 4×800 team was able to win at home on Saturday, and hope to get showing improvement after a time of 9 minutes and 51 seconds.

On the boys side, they were able to get upper half performances from multiple athletes during the meet, and hope to continue to find more of them as the season continues along.

DCG track will be returning for the boys on Saturday while for the girls they will be having their next event next week.
