Dallas County Farm Bureau, From Dallas County Farm Bureau Facebook page.

The Cram the Cab event to raise money and food for local area food pantries in Dallas County will kick off tomorrow in Perry.

There will be a tractor in the Perry Fareway parking lot waiting with the goal of filling the cab  with food donations from the community. The event will run from May 3rd-10th in partnership with Perry Fareway, Dallas County Farm Bureau and Perry Van Wall.

Dallas County Farm Bureau Outreach Coordinator Janet Hick says there will be multiple ways to donate by either doing a direct food drop off, monetary donations and rounding your grocery total up to the nearest dollar to help those in need in the county.

“It really makes people aware of how much of a need there is to help out not only our community but all of Dallas County.”

On May 8th from 10am to noon, Raccoon Valley Radio’ Big Red Radio will be live on location with members with Dallas County Farm Bureau. Shirts will be available for $10 with proceeds going to local food pantries in Dallas County.
