Greene County was in a boys’ golf tournament Thursday hosted by South Hamilton at the Jewell Golf & Country Club. Coach Heath Telleen’s team finished in third place among five schools. Roland-Story (Story City) was first, followed by North Polk (Alleman) and the Rams in this with 374 for 18 holes. South Hamilton was fourth and Ogden fifth.

Leading the way for the Rams was Joe Carey with 87, good for fourth place individually. Nathan Behne was eighth overall at 93, followed by Jack Hansen 96, and Caden Telleen 98.

Cooper Carson of Ogden was medalist of the meet with 82, followed by NP’s Jack Peterson at 85.

Coach Heath Telleen said the Rams fought through the wind and fast greens. The regular season is over and the Rams go to Atlantic for a Class 3A Sectional Tournament on May 14.
