Greene County dropped a non-conference softball game in Perry to the Jayettes 5-2 on Tuesday night. The Rams had four errors in the first three innings, helping the Jayettes score four unearned runs. Emma Hoyle allowed just one earned run in taking the loss. She had both Greene County hits, a two run double with two outs in the third to tie the score 2-2, then she singled sharply to left field leading off the sixth. Greene County fell to 1-8 and Perry improved to 2-8.

Jayna Kenney was the winning pitcher. In addition to allowing just two hits, Kenney fanned the Rams seven times. The Jayettes had six hits with three singles and three runs driven in by Maci Killmer. Kennedy Tunink singled twice.

The contest was heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Tonight the Rams are home at the City diamond on E. Lincolnway in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play vs. Nevada.
