Greene County fell to 1-7 on the baseball season when the Rams lost 7-4 on Tuesday night at Class 3A number 5 Winterset. The Huskies improved to 7-3 with the victory.

Matt Paulsen is the head coach of the Rams and he told Raccoon Valley Radio even though his team lost, he felt the team played much better. Neither team was charged with an error and Coach Paulsen saw a number of positives he hopes carry over to tonight Nevada visits Allensworth Field.

The Rams were out hit 13-7 and had a double and one run batted in from Kole Teeples. Max Riley singled twice and drove in a run, Justin Stream had two singles, Bryce Stalder had a single and RBI, Alex Roberts singled, and Joe Carey had one RBI.

Peyton Kinsey started on the mound and took the pitching loss. He went 3-2/3 innings, allowing five runs, all earned, on nine hits, three walks and one hit batsman. Cam Miller went 2-1/3 innings  with four hits, three walks, and one strikeout. Both runs off him were earned.
