As more people are getting outdoors and looking for activities, the StoryWalk in Wiese Park offers a fun opportunity.

Perry Public Library Director Mary Murphy says the event is a fun activity for people to take part in this summer. She mentions the featured story for this month is A Wild Day at the Zoo.

“It’s a healthy way of interacting as a family and getting some exercise at the same time, I think it’s fun. You start at the little parking lot that’s where number one is, by the play structure, and there is sixteen stations and we usually change the StoryWalk at the beginning of the month now.”

Murphy tells Raccoon Valley Radio about another change to the monthly event and encourages everyone to head out to Wiese Park and see it for themselves.

“In addition what we always called the Challenge Loop will be used by the teen summer reading program and is called ‘Choose Your Own Story for Teens’ and that is something that you need to go out and investigate.”

A Wild Day at the Zoo tells the story of a pet chicken who goes to the zoo to meet other animals.
