Over 25 people attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Gravitate Coworking in downtown Jefferson Friday.

The business, which provides a professional setting for remote workers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs to conduct their business, officially opened its doors this past January. Owner Geoff Wood gave an update about how they have been since the beginning of the year.

“Business has been a little slow, but that’s what we expected. With the public health situation and the winter and everything, trying to launch at the time we opened the doors was not necessarily something we expected to be full right away. But now that public health (situation) has improved, and the summer (season) is here, and people are kind of shifting to their summer schedule for their lives, we thought this was a good time to have a ribbon cutting and welcome people in.”

Various levels of memberships are available, with all to include 24/7 access to the building. They also have coffee, tea and business printing and copying available, along with fiber optic internet access. Contact Gravitate at 515-207-8105 or check them out online at gravitatecoworking.com.
